The latest thing I'm pretty impressed/proud of is having Dexter (that's what I call the house) send my wife and I an email when the temperature is going to be over 84°along with the forecast so we can decide if I want to turn on the air conditioner (in Southern Colorado A/C is totally optional). Once it is setup HS3 is a pretty hands off system with TONS of options. For the most part Homeseer just sits in the background and does its thing.įWIW I am computer literate but I don't code (one semester of HTML was enough to to convince me that coding isn't for me) and I haven't really come across the need to attempt a script or anything like that. I'll open it from time to time to check a temperature or a status. That app is horrendous but that's okay because she rarely needs to use it.
